Bathroom Remodeling Services in Santa Maria

The services behind a dry, bright, easy-care bathroom, from one new fixture to a full rebuild.

Our bathroom remodeling services in Santa Maria, CA stretch from a quick vanity swap to a down-to-the-studs rebuild. We work with homeowners in Santa Maria, Orcutt and Nipomo whose bathrooms are worn, damp or simply out of date. Projects are planned around the home’s age, the Central Coast’s damp mornings, mineral-heavy water and the needs of everyone who uses the room. The three core services, with links to their detailed pages, are below.

Shower remodeling

Shower remodeling is our most requested project. We rebuild leaking tile showers and cracked fiberglass units with a continuous waterproof membrane, then finish them with porcelain tile or solid panels. Owners often ask us to turn an unused tub into a roomy shower or to drop the door in favor of an open entry, and every new shower is paired with a plan for ventilation.

Bathtub installation

Bathtub installation replaces rusting steel tubs, flexing fiberglass tubs and shallow tubs with new alcove, soaking, freestanding or walk-in models. A new surround and controls are normally part of the job.

Vanity installation

Vanity installation delivers sturdier cabinets, quartz or solid-surface tops, new sinks and faucets, and better mirror lighting, with options for single or double sinks.

Most remodels also include some of the following:

  • Porcelain or luxury vinyl flooring.
  • New toilets, including comfort-height and water-saving models.
  • Exhaust fans ducted outdoors with timer or humidity switches.
  • Vanity lights and recessed ceiling lights.
  • Moisture-resistant drywall and paint.
  • Safety upgrades like hidden wall reinforcement, shower seats and step-free entries.

Choosing between a partial and full remodel

If only one part of the bathroom is worn out, replacing just that part can be the right move. If the shower is leaking, mildew keeps returning or several fixtures are failing, a full remodel addresses everything at once and avoids tearing the room apart twice. Ventilation is worth upgrading either way, since it protects whatever you install. Many owners also phase their projects, starting with the bathroom that has the most urgent problem and returning to the second bath a year or two later with the same finishes.

Remodeling in older ranch homes

Ranch houses from the 1950s through 1970s often have small bathrooms with original tile, steel tubs and no exhaust fan. Their plumbing may include older galvanized lines, and the electrical may not support modern lighting. We check these during the visit so the proposal includes what the room really needs.

Newer homes in Orcutt and northeast Santa Maria

Newer houses usually have solid framing and modern plumbing, but finishes were chosen to keep build costs down: fiberglass shower units, laminate or cultured marble tops and basic light bars. Remodels here can skip much of the behind-the-wall repair and put the budget into a larger tiled shower, a better vanity, upgraded lighting and finishes that reflect your own taste. Because the structure is sound, these projects often move along quickly once materials arrive.
